Privacy Policy

plato·uuid is operated by Plato. This site is a single-purpose web utility for generating and decoding UUIDs, ULIDs, and NanoIDs. It does not require an account, does not transmit your inputs to any server, and stores nothing beyond what your browser keeps locally.

What we collect

• IDs you generate or decode — stay 100% in your browser. All generation math runs in JavaScript locally using crypto.getRandomValues(). Verify by opening DevTools → Network — no requests are made when you use the tool.
• Anonymous analytics — we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and understand which features are useful. This is configured with privacy-first defaults and does not link analytics to any personal identifier.
• Advertising — this site serves ads via Google AdSense. Ad code from Google's advertising network is loaded. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads. You can opt out at Google Ads Settings.

What we do NOT collect

• Your name, email, address, or phone number — we don't ask
• The UUIDs or IDs you generate or decode — never transmitted
• Account information — there are no accounts
• Payment information — the tool is free

Third-party services

• Cloudflare Pages — for hosting. Cloudflare may log basic request metadata (IP, user agent, timestamp) per their privacy policy.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics — for traffic analytics. Privacy-first, no cookies. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Google AdSense — for ads. See Google Ads policies.

Cookies

The tool itself does not set cookies. Google AdSense sets cookies via Google's domain. You can block or clear these via your browser settings without affecting the tool's functionality.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Data subject rights (GDPR, CCPA)

If you are in the EU, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with data subject rights: since we do not collect personal information beyond anonymous analytics, in most cases there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, or delete. Contact us if you have a specific request.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Substantive changes will be noted on the homepage.
